About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sea Freight Operations Executive to join a busy Air & Ocean Freight team based in North Dublin. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and enjoys managing end-to-end sea freight operations while delivering excellent customer service.

You’ll play a key role in coordinating import and export shipments, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all processes.

Key Responsibilities

Imports

• Manage FCL and LCL shipments arriving into Ireland
• Create and maintain shipment records in CargoWise
• Coordinate documentation with internal customs brokerage team
• Ensure timely customs clearance and manage duty/VAT processes
• Arrange haulage for final delivery
• Handle billing coordination and resolve account queries
• Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders

Exports

• Process customer bookings and validate rates/costs
• Coordinate collection and transport of shipments
• Create export shipments in CargoWise
• Issue booking confirmations with ETD/ETA details
• Arrange export customs clearance
• Prepare and issue shipping documentation (MBL/HBL)
• Send pre-alerts to international partners/agents
• Support invoicing and resolve customer queries

About You

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in sea freight (imports/exports)
• Strong working knowledge of CargoWise (or similar system)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Experience in customs clearance is an advantage
