Area Sales Manager

Our client is a leading supplier of premium construction materials in Ireland. Working with some of the country’s largest developers, contractors and housebuilders, they provide high-quality products for major residential and commercial construction projects nationwide.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an ambitious and commercially focused Area Sales Manager to drive sales performance and strengthen customer relationships across the Leinster region.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting field-based position offering responsibility for an established territory and customer base, while also creating opportunities to win new business and develop strategic partnerships across the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to maximise growth across the Leinster region.
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers, ensuring exceptional service and account development.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, quantity surveyors, contractors and procurement professionals.
  • Promote a premium portfolio of construction products and solutions.
  • Provide consultative sales support and technical guidance to customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor market activity, project pipelines and competitor developments to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasting, pipeline reporting and market intelligence.
  • Represent the business at client meetings, industry events and trade exhibitions.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Experience within construction materials, building products, or a related construction sales environment.
  • Strong business development and account management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a regional territory effectively.
  • Full, clean driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience working with developers, contractors, architects or housebuilders.
  • Exposure to project sales and specification-led selling.
