Accounts Payable Specialist
An established and growing regional Airline is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its finance team based at Dublin Airport. This is a full-time, permanent role within a close-knit organisation known for collaboration, clear communication and a strong sense of shared purpose.
The Role
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely and well-controlled processing of supplier accounts. The position offers exposure to a high-volume, operationally complex environment, with opportunities to contribute to process improvement and system optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and validate supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and on time
- Prepare, review and monitor weekly payment runs in line with agreed terms
- Complete monthly supplier statement reconciliations, resolving discrepancies efficiently
- Support the development and maintenance of internal controls and AP procedures
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Provide day-to-day support to the Accounts Payable Team Lead and wider finance function
- Assist with ad hoc finance tasks as required
About You
- 1-2 years experience in an Accounts Payable role is essential
- Comfortable working independently, managing deadlines and taking ownership of deliverables
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional approach to supplier queries
- Well-developed problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Aviation or transport sector experience is beneficial, though not essential
