Airport Staff are seeking to recruit Aircraft Primers for our client in Shannon. An excellent opportunity for those with previous experience in construction, automotive/equipment spray painting, panel beating or mechanics.
Job Overview:
This role prepares and paints commercial aircraft up to primer paint, while adhering to customer requirements. The job requires proficiency in English.
Responsibilities:
- Assist team leaders with aircraft preparation and painting.
- Perform assigned maintenance tasks to maintain airworthiness of the aircraft and its components.
- Complete tasks such as docking, damage inspection, water washing, masking, paint stripping and application, defect rectification, and polishing.
- Support final completion checks, customer inspections, and aircraft departures.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Report problems to your manager in a timely manner.
- Maintain clean and serviceable tools and equipment.
- Complete all applicable documentation for each task.
- Maintain accurate time records.
- Build good relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Maintain clean and tidy work areas.
- Follow the company’s health and safety policy.
- Improve work processes and optimise efficiency, quality, and ground time.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the company.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in construction, spray painting large equipment, commercial vehicles, or panel beating.
- Experience in a labour-intensive industry preferred.
- Flexible working hours.
Salary is based on experience – up to €31,000 inclusive of shift
Career progression – rate will increase with progress in role. Progression to Spray Painter also possible.
