Job description

Airport Staff are seeking to recruit Aircraft Painters for our client in Shannon. An excellent opportunity for those with previous experience in automotive/equipment spray painting, panel beating or mechanics.

Overview: This position involves painting commercial aircraft with customer liveries and tech markings.

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of English
• Previous experience in spray painting large equipment, commercial vehicles, panel beating, motor mechanics

Responsibilities:

• Assist Production Managers/Team Leaders with aircraft preparation and painting according to customer requirements
• Maintain aircraft and components in serviceable and airworthy condition by performing maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
• Docking of aircraft
• Aircraft damage inspection
• Paint inspection after input
• Water washing aircraft
• Masking of surfaces
• Removal of existing paint schemes
• Defect rectification
• Paint application
• Polishing
• Livery and tech markings application
• Movement of flight controls
• Final completion check
• Customer inspection
• Aircraft departure

• Comply with company and regulatory policies and procedures
• Report problems to Manager/Team Leader promptly
• Keep tools and equipment clean and serviceable
• Complete documentation for aircraft and equipment tasks
• Maintain accurate time records
• Promote good relations with personnel and customers
• Maintain clean and tidy work and rest areas
• Adhere strictly to company health and safety policy
• Contribute ideas for process improvement and efficiency optimization
• Perform other duties assigned by the company.

Salary is based on experience – €32,000 to €38,700, inclusive of shift
Career progression – rate will increase with progress in role.
