Airworthiness Control Engineer (ACE)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Airworthiness Control Engineer (ACE) to join a dynamic team in a leading regional airline. Based at Dublin Airport, this full-time, permanent position plays a crucial role in ensuring airworthiness compliance and operational efficiency.
Salary: €74,000 – 84,000 plus allowance

The Role:
The ACE is based in the Airworthiness Control Centre (ACC) and serves as a key liaison between flight crews, the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), and Approved Maintenance Organisations (AMOs). Responsibilities include:
- Chairing daily operational meetings and coordinating airworthiness actions.
- Managing interfaces between the operator’s CAMO and line maintenance providers.
- Overseeing defect rectifications and liaising with AMOs for resolution.
- Maintaining fleet status and providing updates to flight crews.
- Coordinating and approving Hold Item Lists (HILs) at locations without AMO support.
- Monitoring and planning scheduled maintenance, ensuring timely completion.
- Issuing and reviewing line maintenance work packs.
- Managing Minimum Equipment List (MEL) extensions when necessary.
- Collaborating with Planning and Base Maintenance teams for aircraft acceptance post-maintenance.
- Supporting investigation processes for Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) in case of incidents.
- Reviewing Engine Condition Trend Monitoring (ECTM) and Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) to assess exceedances.
- Coordinating Maintenance Check Flights (MCF) when required.
- Ensuring adequate downtime is allocated for scheduled and AOG maintenance.
- Attending technical, reliability, and safety meetings to enhance operational performance.
- Monitoring spare parts movements for time-sensitive components.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements, reporting any concerns as needed.
About You:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Hold a NFQ Level 7 (or equivalent) qualification in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Avionic Engineering.
OR - Hold a Category A or B Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
Additionally, candidates must have at least five years’ experience in a CAMO or aircraft maintenance environment.
