Electrical Apprenticeship Instructor

This permanent role empowers you to shape apprenticeships and influence the future workforce. As an instructor, you’ll play a pivotal role in teaching Electrical Phase 2 of the Standards Based Apprenticeship, equipping apprentices with essential skills, knowledge, and safety protocols for success.
We Offer:
- 25 days annual leave.
- Monday to Friday.
- 35 hour work week with early finish on Friday
- 40 weeks class delivery time per year.

Salary:
Starting salary: €50,000 with increments rising to €70,036 (including 2nd long service increment). Entry point on the scale is determined on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct apprentices in practical skills, math, science, and relevant knowledge following Standards Based Apprenticeship guidelines.
- Deliver and develop lesson plans, course materials, and assessments to support effective learning.
- Assess and administer tests, provide support to struggling apprentices, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and efficient tool/equipment use.
- Monitor apprentice progress and provide guidance, issuing regular progress reports to employers.
- Utilize technology for enhanced training and administration.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and support program reviews.
- Perform additional assigned duties as required.
Essential:
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
- Senior Trade Certificate or National Craft Certificate.
- Five years of relevant post-apprenticeship experience.
- Knowledge of industry Health and Safety legislation.
- Effective communication skills and Leadership abilities.
Desirable:
- Recognized training qualification (optional).
- Supervisory/teaching or coaching experience (optional).
