Job Title: Financial Controller (Part-Time)
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Salary: €25,000 to €35,000 per annum (20 hours per week, depending on experience)
Working Hours: 08:30 to 12:30, Monday to Friday
About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their dynamic team. This part-time role is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong background in financial control, cost management, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing financial accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Control & Compliance:
- Develop and implement effective financial controls.
- Manage financial and management accounting, credit control, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Taxation, and statutory accounts.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and industry standards.
- Handle Company Secretarial duties, including maintaining statutory records.
- Cost Accounting & Financial Analysis:
- Lead cost accounting efforts and prepare detailed cost reports.
- Track and report on production costs, overhead, and departmental expenses.
- Provide data-driven insights on cost management.
- Management Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports.
- Produce accurate quarterly Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Maintain General Ledger, Item Ledger, Purchase Ledger, and Sales Ledger.
- Performance Analysis & Strategic Support:
- Support business planning with detailed financial forecasting.
- Collaborate with the Finance Director to establish key financial metrics.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Budget Management & Operational Support:
- Work closely with budget holders to manage expenses.
- Monitor company expenditures and recommend adjustments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of financial control, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent understanding of IFRS and industry standards.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and management accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
