Job Opportunity: Fleet Manager (Permanent, Full-Time)

Location: Dublin
Salary: €50,000-€56,000 per year

The Role

As Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operation of a transport fleet of approximately 30 vehicles. Your remit will include performance management, regulatory compliance, safety standards, budget oversight, and effective coordination with internal teams and external service providers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and delivering on-time performance against organisational targets
• Ensuring full compliance with all relevant transport regulations, including driver hours, vehicle standards, and associated certification requirements
• Implementing best‑practice operational processes that enhance efficiency, safety, and consistency
• Using robust planning methods to align staffing and fleet availability with varying levels of activity
• Managing safety procedures across the team, ensuring a safe working environment at all times
• Building strong working relationships with maintenance partners, regulatory bodies, and internal departments
• Overseeing fleet maintenance scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
• Supporting the introduction of new business where required, including operational planning and resource alignment
• Maintaining high standards of security, asset protection, and risk mitigation
• Completing any additional reasonable duties as directed by senior management

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in a transport management position
• Transport Manager Certificate
• Full, valid licence (Category C)
• Up‑to‑date CPC
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage and work within budgets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work shifts and weekends when required
• Ability to pass necessary background checks
