Job Title: Freight Operations Executive

Normal Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm (Flexibility required)

We are seeking a Freight Operations Executive to join our client‘s Air and Sea Freight Team in Cork. The role involves managing import/export shipments, ensuring service quality, compliance, and profitability. Strong attention to detail and confidence in dealing with stakeholders are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage customer accounts & ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times.
• Proactively liaise with customers, suppliers, and partners to ensure a high-quality service.
• Schedule drivers and vehicles to meet customer bookings.
• Deal with customer queries in a professional manner.
• Issue customer quotations and conversions into bookings.
• Maintain good working practices while proactively identifying continuous improvements

• that will offer customers an enhanced service.

• Support colleagues in other departments as well as offices nationally and internationally.
• Flexible and hands-on approach to prioritising duties and achieving deadlines.
• General customs related processes, leasing with our customs team on site.

Required skills and experience

• 1-2 years experience working in a similar environment.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team and

• be accountable for tasks and actions.
• Previous experience in Air Freight and customs an advantage.
• Proficient in all Microsoft packages.
• Proactive communicator in the use of email and phone.
• Deadline focused.
• Must be able to work well under pressure.
