Overview

We are seeking a General Operative for our Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) service centre. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of APU components, as well as supporting the overall operations of the facility. Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner
• Adhere to all relevant procedures and documentation requirements
• Maintain excellent time-keeping and attendance records
• Adhere to safety protocols and proper use of protective equipment
• Keep work areas clean and tidy at all times
• Report any airworthiness or safety issues to the APU operations lead
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the company

Qualifications

• This role would suit those with knowledge of motors
• Ability to read and interpret component maintenance manuals
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable with a strong attendance record
• Willingness to adapt to change and work as part of a team
• Ability to handle hazardous materials and follow instructions
• Clean driving license and forklift driving certificate are preferable but not essential
• Willingness to undergo background checks and medical examinations

Day-to-day

The General Operative will be responsible for cleaning APU components, maintaining cleanliness in the work area, and assisting with the movement of components throughout the facility. They will also be expected to communicate effectively with the APU operations lead and other team members.
