Group Warehouse Manager – West of Ireland (Galway Region)

Location: Galway Region
Salary: €57,000 – €62,000
Schedule: Monday – Friday

Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee a group of warehouse operations across the Galway region. This role will also play a key part in a major project to consolidate multiple warehouse locations into one central facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong people leader with proven warehouse management experience, ideally with a Counterbalance forklift licence, to join a growing and dynamic organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations across multiple warehouse sites, including receiving, storage, and dispatch activities.
  • Lead and coordinate warehouse teams (approx. 12 staff) ensuring high levels of productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Play a central role in the strategic consolidation of multiple warehouses into a single site.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and enforce safe handling, storage, and movement procedures, including chemicals where applicable.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies alongside the Stock Controller and Operations Manager.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands while minimizing downtime.
  • Train, mentor, and develop warehouse staff to maintain high performance and engagement.
  • Collaborate with transport, logistics, and customer service teams to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Conduct warehouse inspections and audits to maintain quality standards and site organisation.
  • Manage and resolve operational issues while maintaining positive employee relations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Senior Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory systems.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, and logistics processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock and operational reporting.
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations within warehouse environments.
  • Counterbalance Forklift Licence (desirable).
