Airport Staff are seeking HGV Mechanics for our client, an international ground handling company at Dublin Airport. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining various types of Ground Service Equipment (GSE). Those with previous plant and agri experience also welcome to apply.

About the Role:

As an HGV Mechanic you’ll be a key part of the team, specialising in Ground Service Equipment (GSE). Your primary responsibilities will include servicing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of GSE equipment. This includes preventive maintenance, repairs, documentation of inspection findings, and entering job details into the client’s fleet management system.

Shifts are Mon – Fri – 8am to 4pm

What We‘re Look For:

  • Certification and Experience: A time-served Technician with a Trade Certification or equivalent qualification, along with at least 1 year of post-apprenticeship experience.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: We seek individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills, and the ability to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Technical Know-How: You should have knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and be proficient in conducting safety inspections and routine maintenance.
  • Team Player: We value enthusiastic and flexible team players with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Welding Skills: While welding skills are preferred, they are not mandatory.
  • Weather-Ready: Be prepared to work in adverse weather conditions and bring your personal set of tools
  • Security Check: As part of an airport security background check and ID badge application, successful candidates will need to pass Garda Vetting.
  • Location: Due to the on call requirements, candidates would need to be located within 30min drive of Dublin Airport.
