HGV/LGV Mechanics

Job description

Airport Staff is currently looking for an HGV/LGV Mechanic to join our client’s team at Dublin Airport. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of a diverse fleet of over 1,000 units used by major airlines, airports, and ground handling companies.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and conduct various service levels
• Diagnose faults, provide service, maintain, and repair a wide range of HGVs, LGVs, and airport-related machinery
• Ensure that all work is completed to meet quality and specification standards, with accurate and timely documentation
• Provide daily updates on your progress
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Work with truck models such as Scania, Volvo, Mercedes, MAN, and DAF
• Fulfil any other required duties or activities

Requirements:

• Hold full qualification as an HGV/LGV Mechanic
• Possess a full C Licence (Preferred but not essential)
• Exhibit strong interpersonal and people management skills
• Demonstrate effective organisational and planning abilities
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues while maintaining a friendly demeanour
• Show diligence and a flexible, can-do attitude toward work
• Perform well under pressure

Salary: Dependent on Experience (DOE) & contract.
