Ballyboughal, Co. Dublin | Mon–Fri, 9am–1pm (flexible)
We‘re delighted to be partnering with a well‑established international logistics company that is expanding its operations team. They are now seeking a Junior Airfreight & Seafreight Operations Executive to support their growing import and export activities across global markets.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their logistics career, or a recent graduate, to gain hands‑on operational experience within a highly supportive environment.
The Role
As Junior Air & Sea Freight Operations Executive, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of shipments across both air and ocean freight channels. You will contribute to the full life cycle of freight operations–from booking and documentation to tracking, communication, and compliance.
This role is ideal for someone organised, energetic, and eager to progress within the logistics and freight forwarding sector.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Coordination
- Manage and process bookings for air and sea freight from initial request to final delivery.
- Prepare and maintain essential documents including HAWB/MAWB, Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and customs entries.
- Track and trace shipments daily and keep systems updated accurately.
- Support import/export procedures in accordance with international customs and compliance standards.
Customer Service & Communication
- Act as the first point of contact for shipment‑related queries.
- Provide proactive updates on shipment status, delays, or operational issues.
- Liaise with carriers, airlines, shipping lines, and co‑loaders to confirm schedules and secure capacity.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all documents meet regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Maintain accurate digital records within freight management systems.
- Assist with customs clearance and security protocols (DGR, IMDG, TSA).
Administrative & Reporting Support
- Assist with cost entry, invoicing, and accurate file closure.
- Support KPI reporting and operational performance monitoring.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives across operations.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Incoterms and freight documentation.
- Familiarity with freight management systems (FMS/TMS/WMS).
- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Experience & Qualifications
Required:
- 0–2 years‘ experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or similar (internships welcome).
- Completion of secondary education.
Preferred:
- Logistics or supply chain certifications/diplomas.
- Exposure to airfreight or seafreight operations.
