Location: Dublin, Swords
Contract: FTC

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Buyer to join a busy procurement and supply chain team within a manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Operations teams to support purchasing activities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure continuity of supply across a global supplier network.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of materials required to support production and customer demand.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure continuity of supply across a broad supplier base.
• Coordinate reverse logistics activities, including returns of defective materials and equipment.
• Resolve supply chain disruptions and respond effectively to fluctuations in demand.
• Support inventory and delivery objectives through efficient supply chain practices.
• Track and improve supplier performance in areas such as quality, service, cost, and on-time delivery.
• Lead supplier issue resolution activities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a procurement, purchasing, or buying role.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Experience managing relationships with global suppliers.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, tools, and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail.
