Baggage Hall & Ramp Agent | Dublin Airport

Location: Dublin Airport
Salary: Up to €33,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Roster: 2 Early Shifts, 2 Late Shifts, 2 Days Off

About the Role

We are currently recruiting Baggage Hall and Ramp Agents to join a busy Ground Operations team at Dublin Airport. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in aviation. Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and prepare aircraft service areas
  • Handle, transport, and transfer baggage safely and efficiently
  • Carry out aircraft chocking and coning procedures
  • Connect and disconnect Ground Power Units (GPU)
  • Marshal passengers to and from aircraft
  • Load and unload aircraft in a timely manner
  • Perform headset procedures during pushback operations and refuelling communications
  • Adhere to strict safety procedures and departure schedules
  • Operate vehicles airside and provide crew transport when required
  • Liaise effectively with Team Leaders, Flight Crew, and operational departments
  • Support coordination between Operations Control, Flight Operations, Engineering, Catering, and Fuelling teams
  • Contribute to on-time performance and minimise operational delays
  • Ensure compliance with all airline, airport, ATC, and regulatory safety and security requirements
  • Assist with Ground Service Equipment maintenance procedures
  • Read and interpret weight and balance instructions, loading manifests, hazardous goods labels, and flight documentation
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by Team Leaders and Supervisors

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in aviation, ground handling, logistics, transport, warehouse, or operational environments is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing operational requirements
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Full clean Irish driving licence
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Ability to pass Garda Vetting and a full background check
  • Medically fit to perform the duties of the role
