Baggage Hall & Ramp Agent | Dublin Airport
Location: Dublin Airport
Salary: Up to €33,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Roster: 2 Early Shifts, 2 Late Shifts, 2 Days Off
About the Role
We are currently recruiting Baggage Hall and Ramp Agents to join a busy Ground Operations team at Dublin Airport. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in aviation. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare aircraft service areas
- Handle, transport, and transfer baggage safely and efficiently
- Carry out aircraft chocking and coning procedures
- Connect and disconnect Ground Power Units (GPU)
- Marshal passengers to and from aircraft
- Load and unload aircraft in a timely manner
- Perform headset procedures during pushback operations and refuelling communications
- Adhere to strict safety procedures and departure schedules
- Operate vehicles airside and provide crew transport when required
- Liaise effectively with Team Leaders, Flight Crew, and operational departments
- Support coordination between Operations Control, Flight Operations, Engineering, Catering, and Fuelling teams
- Contribute to on-time performance and minimise operational delays
- Ensure compliance with all airline, airport, ATC, and regulatory safety and security requirements
- Assist with Ground Service Equipment maintenance procedures
- Read and interpret weight and balance instructions, loading manifests, hazardous goods labels, and flight documentation
- Undertake additional duties as directed by Team Leaders and Supervisors
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in aviation, ground handling, logistics, transport, warehouse, or operational environments is advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced operational environment
- Flexible and adaptable approach to changing operational requirements
- Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Full clean Irish driving licence
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to pass Garda Vetting and a full background check
- Medically fit to perform the duties of the role
