We’re hiring a Seafreight Operations Executive for a leading logistics company based at their Cork depot. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional seeking a fresh challenge within a dynamic and supportive operations team.

Export duties include:

  • Manage client bookings and coordinate global sea freight exports (LCL/FCL).
  • Confirm rates, place bookings with shipping partners, and organise transport.
  • Handle documentation: create bookings, issue MBL/HBL, and confirm SOB with carriers.
  • Ensure customs compliance (SAD preparation, AEO standards) and maintain accurate records.
  • Pre-alert agents, finalise invoicing, and resolve billing queries promptly.
  • Respond to customer queries efficiently, ensuring clear and timely communication.

Import duties include:

  • Manage FCL/LCL import consignments arriving into Ireland, ensuring smooth coordination.
  • Confirm customs requirements, arrange clearance, and verify direct representation is in place.
  • Calculate duties/VAT, issue import entries, and secure advance payment from clients.
  • Create bookings, convert to shipments on the system, and monitor free time with carriers.
  • Book hauliers, oversee delivery, finalise POD, and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Respond promptly to customer and accounts queries, maintaining strong communication.

Required skills and experience

  • Candidate must have minimum 3 years experience in logistics
  • Self-motivated with good communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
