The Role

As a Transport Coordinator, you will oversee and manage the day‑to‑day planning, scheduling, and allocation of transport resources. The role is fast‑paced and requires strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to respond effectively to unexpected operational changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage daily crew or driver rosters and allocation sheets
• Monitor transport schedules, adjust plans according to operational requirements, and ensure efficient resource utilisation
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transport legislation, including Working Time Directive and driving hours regulations
• Identify and mitigate potential delay risks to maintain on‑time performance
• Act as a central point of contact between internal departments and external partners
• Manage absence recording, return‑to‑work processes, and general team coordination
• Support with roster production, incident and accident reporting, and daily operational reporting
• Maintain documentation, checklists, and compliance paperwork as required
• Lead and support a team approach to maintaining smooth operational performance

About You

• Full clean “C” licence with up‑to‑date CPC and driver card
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a transport, logistics, or related operational environment
• Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities
• Calm, proactive, and effective under pressure
• Excellent administrative and IT skills
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal abilities
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to make clear decisions quickly
• High level of flexibility and resilience
• Eligibility to work within the EU
