Airport Staff are currently looking for a warehouse supervisor to join our client based in Cork, Ireland. This role is situated within a customer warehouse, reporting directly to the Contract Logistics Site Manager.

Purpose of the Role:

  • Act as a proactive member of the warehouse team, contributing solutions efficiently to meet customer needs with accuracy and quality.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with customers, team members, and interdepartmental stakeholders.
  • Ensure optimal efficiency and premium service delivery within the warehouse operations.
  • Manage the team to execute day-to-day operations safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize personnel and resource utilization to meet service levels and targets.
  • Organize, develop, and train the team effectively.
  • Oversee smooth daily warehouse operations.
  • Ensure team compliance with GDP for Pharma products through continuous training.
  • Coordinate with forwarding operations to meet targets.
  • Maintain accuracy in goods receipt, picking, dispatch, and stock control.
  • Manage delivery and collection scheduling, and handle queries from hauliers, subcontractors, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ensure warehouse security and implement quality control procedures.
  • Uphold high standards of health and safety.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse premises.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Foster good working relationships within the site team.
  • Adhere to company QSHE policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Generate reports and actively participate in business implementations.
  • Provide high-quality service to customers, focusing on KNPS and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain facility maintenance to ensure a clean working environment.
  • Handle dangerous goods safely and compliantly.
  • Be available during peak business periods.

Experience & Expertise:

  • Proficiency in stock control and general warehouse duties.
  • Valid forklift licenses.
  • High level of English proficiency.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Experience in team organization, development, and training.
  • Experience in liaison with forwarding operations and meeting targets.
  • Proficient in goods receipt, picking, dispatch, and stock control.
  • Experience in delivery and collection scheduling, and handling queries from hauliers, subcontractors, customers, and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of warehouse security and quality control procedures.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the warehouse.
  • Accurate completion of paperwork and record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with report generation.
