Key Responsibilities and Tasks

As a Bus Mechanic, you will:

  • Perform routine safety inspections according to our client’s high standards.
  • Carry out planned maintenance and corrective repairs with precision.
  • Be comfortable working with auto electrics and diagnosing general faults.
  • Understand Euro 6 standards and sub-engine equipment.
  • Respond to roadside breakdowns and assess faults efficiently.
  • Prioritise safety by adhering to health and safety rules during all tasks.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

Essential:

  • Quality repair and preventative maintenance skills.
  • Ability to understand and execute training and instructions.
  • Competence in operating safely within a workshop environment.
  • Relevant engineering qualification (minimum Level 6).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Full clean B license.

Desirable:

  • Qualified Light Goods Vehicle or Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic.
  • Good knowledge of Volvo and Mercedes-Benz products.
  • Strong diagnostic capabilities with good computer skills.
  • Familiarity with IT systems for vehicle maintenance.

Job Details

  • Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.
  • Pay: €23.12 per hour.
  • Shifts 7am – 3pm / 3pm – 11pm
  • Medical required
