Airport Staff are seeking a Facilities/Cleaning Site Manager for our client in Dublin Airport.

Role Overview: The Site Manager will oversee a team to ensure efficient cleaning services at the airport. Responsibilities include staff scheduling, financial management, and maintaining client relationships to optimise service during peak times. Reporting to Head of Operations, will be responsible for leading a team of 4 Duty Managers and their direct reports of circa 200 cleaning staff.

Salary: €55K+ DOE
Location: Dublin Airport
Hours: 4 over 7 days on a 3 on/3 off basis. 5am – 5pm / 5pm – 5am

Your Key Duties:

  • Ensure a safe working environment and advocate for robust QHSE.
  • Lead and inspire the airport cleaning team to meet standards and encourage positive work ethics.
  • Offer professional advice and direction to your team.
  • Oversee performance, including managing absences, attendance, and coordinating training & development with the HR Business Partner.
  • Organise staff briefings, toolbox talks, and conduct daily stand downs with direct reports.
  • Control staff cover costs and overtime in accordance with budgetary constraints.
  • Confirm that payroll details align with agreed contracted hours and attendance records.
  • Manage budgetary control of costs versus budgets, explaining any variances.
  • Drive business development within the terminal, such as self-delivery of additional soft services and consumables.
  • Assist business development teams with surveys, pricing, and meeting potential clients.
  • Ensure the contract operates to specification, conducting regular audits in line with the specification.
  • Take operational responsibility for projects.
  • Manage subcontractors/supply chain, including creating purchase orders as needed, approving invoices for payment, verifying invoicing details to ensure services are recharged at agreed contractual rates, and managing all aspects of stock management.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders – both within our client and externally.
  • Manage the prompt completion of reactive tasks within the soft services team.
  • Identify, implement, and manage change effectively.
  • Ensure full compliance with company procedures & policies.
  • Promote new company initiatives and ensure their implementation.
  • Maximise communication at all levels, representing the professional image of the company.
  • Act as Authorised Signatory for the company and handle any associated queries.
  • Complete weekly rosters
  • Compile reports, including those required as part of the contractual KPIs.
  • Foster team building with all staff.
  • Build strong relationships with our client, airport lounges, and other clients within the airport.
  • Understand contractual obligations.
  • Conduct performance management of direct reports and support your team.
  • Handle disciplinary and grievance issues with guidance from HR Business Partner/Learning Partner.

Your Profile:

  • You have a strong understanding of financial management and P&L.
  • You are a proven leader, capable of inspiring a large team to meet their goals.
  • You have substantial experience in the Facilities Management industry, particularly in managing cleaning services.
  • You possess deep knowledge of best cleaning practices from previous experiences.
  • You are capable of taking charge of service delivery, focusing on building robust relationships with all stakeholders.
  • You have experience in managing the execution of soft services projects.
  • You have outstanding communication and influencing skills, adaptable across all levels of the business.
  • You are highly resilient and flexible, with a calm and methodical approach to decision-making, especially when handling issues within your area.
  • You have excellent PC, analytical, reporting, and organisational skills.
