Airport Staff are seeking a Qualified HGV Mechanic/Plant Mechanic for the position of Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Technician with our client at Dublin Airport. This is a flexible role and options are available for various start/finish times, days of work etc.

Job Title: GSE Maintenance Technician (HGV/Construction Plant Mechanic)

Location: Dublin Airport

Hours: Full-Time (Highly flexible, options for various start/finish times.)

Reporting to: Fleet Manager

Main Duties:

• Repair and Maintenance: Fix and maintain our airport GSE fleet.
• Breakdown Response: Handle breakdowns and faults quickly.
• Record Keeping: Log all tasks and parts used in our IT system.
• Job Cards: Finish and close off job cards promptly.
• Safety and Standards: Follow safety rules and keep work areas clean.
• Flexibility: Be adaptable to changing work needs.

Requirements:

• Driving License: Must have a clean license.
• Skills: Good at diagnosing problems (electrical & mechanical) and fixing them. Competent repairing hydraulic Systems. Experience in diesel generating plant.
• Tools: Own a complete set of tools.
• Work Ethic: Can follow instructions and work under pressure.
• Communication: Must be good at talking and working with others.
• Previous work on GSE or warehouse electric vehicles is an advantage

Qualifications:

• Undergone recognised motor trade apprenticeship training.
• Fully qualified HGV or Plant Mechanic.
• Senior Trade Certificate, National Craft Certificate, FETAC level 6 or equivalent.
