Airport Staff are looking to hire an operations officer to work as part of a team for business and private aviation aircraft at Dublin International Airport.

Other Responsibilities and Associated Duties:

  • Reporting to and providing support for the General Manager
  • Meet passengers upon arrival, escort through Customs/Immigration formalities
  • Assist crew with entry requirements
  • Arrange services such as catering, toilet service, re-fuelling, transport and hotel accommodation.
  • Assist with baggage handling
  • Obtain weather briefings for departing aircrew
  • Aircraft arrival and departure paperwork
  • Provide a full aircraft ground handling service
  • Operation of UHF and VHF radios
  • Airway slot co-ordination between aircrew and Slot Co-ordination department
  • Issue temporary passes in accordance with company instructions
  • Escort and supervise airside visiting vehicles and drivers
  • Cleaning company vehicles/equipment and helping maintain office cleanliness
  • Office based duties will include general paperwork and recordkeeping
  • Using ramp equipment such as aircraft steps, ground power unit and belt loader (when suitably trained)
  • Any other duty that may reasonably be requested by the company or a client
  • Giving Health and Safety your highest attention and strictly following company policy in this regard.
  • Ensure you are able to be contacted (within reason) via telephone, mobile telephone or blackberry out of normal working hours.
  • Any other task that is deemed necessary to ensure the smooth running of the office and continuity of service to clients or reasonably requested by the Managing Director or a client.
  • Represent Universal and act as its ambassador at all times.
  • Perform Lav and Water servicing to our aircraft when requested.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven operation.
  • Microsoft Office skills required
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented
  • Possess the ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Exhibit positive teamwork attributes; demonstrate loyalty to co-workers and the company
  • Exhibit a confident and professional manner at all times
  • Ability to work unsupervised, and able to make common sense decisions
  • Ability to priorities cross-functional duties
  • Must hold a full Irish Drivers Licence
  • Must have ground handling exerpience
